This is our first trip with the 5th wheel, from start to finish. We had planned on returning to Florence, OR for the 'Blues, Brews & Chowder' Festival this month. We had an opportunity to stay in Depot Bay, OR at a 'WorldMark' Resort for a few days, and decided that it would be a good time to combine the two.
When we got to Depot Bay we parked the 5th wheel on the wide shoulder of US 101, right out in front of our room. That made things easier to check on the 'boys' occasionally. The resort was really nice, with beautiful ocean vistas.

We departed Depot Bay enroute to an overnight stay at Seal Rock, OR RV Park. It is our intent to check out as many RV parks as we can for future reference. Seal Rock was fairly nice and comfortable, with full hook-ups.

We departed Seal Rock and headed for Florence. We wanted to get there fairly early and get set up, as we were expecting company to join us for the Blues Fest. Shirlee's twin sis Sally (w/husband Bruce) and her sis Ellen (w/husband Wally) were to stay with us at the Marina RV park in Florence, in our 5th wheel. The 5th wheel has sleeping for 10 people - in beds! We wanted to kinda check that out. One thing we knew going in, was that there was only one bathroom in the 5th wheel and we would be relying on the park facilities.
Our visitors soon arrived and we commensed to have a great time over the next few days enjoying the blues and the local eateries.
The sleeping worked out very well - sort of. We had our cats with us and Ellen is allergic to them. Ellen and Wally were to sleep in the 'garage' so we would have the litter box outside in the cat-cage. All in all things worked out very well.

We departed Florence this morning, bidding farewells to our guests. The trip has been wonderful, with all systems operating, except one problem that deals with the truck starting up in cold (cool) weather - it doesn't like to! It has an engine block heater that will have to be engaged during cold spells. Other than that it runs great.
Now home again, and after doing many careful measurements, I managed to get the 5th wheel parked in our back yard with 6 inches to spare on both sides! There are some projects I need to complete, and having the 5th wheel back there will help alot!
We prpbably won't be taking the 5th wheel out again until our big trip next year, so I'll also get things winterized. Only 4 months to go until our big trip begins!.
